Egypt and India

Apollonius traveled throughout the Roamn Empire, from Spain to Rome to Africa, relating his experinces in India. " I have seen men dwelling on the Earth but not of the earth. I saw them well defended without fortifications. I saw they owned nothing, yet possessed all things".
Apollonius eventually decided to visit Egypt also, the other ancient civilization famous for its spirituality. There he was bitterly disappointed. Apollonius found the religion institutions of Egypt in decay. The Egyptian priests' knowledge of their inner tradition was in sad declined.
Apollonius made the long pilgrimage up the Nile to see for himself the Ethiopian gymnosophists, the famous dersert ascetics. He was stunned at how similar their spiritual beliefs and practices were to those of the ascetics he'd studied with in India. There must be a connection, he concluded.
Inquiring into Egyptian history and legend, Apollonius found evidence that the ancestors of these Ethopians had emigrated from India in remote antiquity. Modern scholars have confirmed this hypothesis. We now scholars have confirmed this hypothesis. We now know Manetho, an Egyptian priets who wrote a history of Egypt in the Greek language, specifically mentioned the arrival of immigrants from northern India who settled in Ethiophia somewhere around 1400 B.C.E. (Ancient authors frequently confused India and Ethophia. This helps explain why). Manetho considered this one of the major events in Egyptian history.
Apollonius visited many Egyptian temples where he couldn't resists offering suggestions to the staff on how to spiritually enliven their practices. " Who dares teach Egyptian priests their own religion? " One hierophant demanded.
" Anyone", Apollonius answered calmly, " Who comes from India.
